# Engineer An Engineer is a citizen who has an [Engineer Certificate](/deepmine/deepmine-gaming-nfts/badges/engineer-certificate.md). Engineers are passionate mechanics who ponder every day over how to move technology forward. Engineer's skills allow improving mining equipment. * The Engineer Certificate allows the player to produce NFTs that apply upgrades to the mining equipment. * To become an Engineer, the player needs to collect nine pages of an [Engineers Diploma](/deepmine/deepmine-gaming-nfts/badges/engineers-diploma-page.md) and exchange them for an Engineer Certificate in the government. * Engineers diploma pages can be found in equipment packs, which [Factories ](/deepmine/deepmine-gaming-nfts/factory.md)produce.
