Equipment characteristics and repair

Characteristics

The NFT Asset Characteristics which affect Game Mechanics.

***

Repair - restores the number of available mining actions without restoring the equipment wear

Refurbish - restores all the numbers and makes your equipment as good as new

Depreciation - mining actions performed/current wear capacity (maximum wear capacity)

Mining actions performed - number of actions performed after last repair

Current wear capacity - current state of equipment accounting for all the breakdowns. Each breakdown lowers the counter. When number of mining actions performed reaches current wear capacity number the equipment breaks down. Can be restored through Refurbish process.

Maximum wear capacity - the state of the new equipment. Can't be changed.

Depreciation

The ability to operate the equipment is defined by the term depreciation. It includes three values, which are stored in the NFT of the equipment.

The game UI displays it the following way (the numbers provided as an example): 0/19 (20)

0 - depreciation counter showing the number of mining actions performed after last repair. Each mining event increases this value by 1. The mining count can not exceed the current capacity index. The counter could be restored by repair action.

19 - current wear capacity - current state of equipment accounting for all the breakdowns. Each breakdown lowers the counter. When number of mining actions performed reaches current wear capacity number the equipment breaks down. Current capacity could be restored to maximum one by Refurbish action.

(20) - maximum wear capacity of a new equipment. Can't be changed.

Broken

Broken is a state when equipment can't perform the mining action.

Breakdown that occurs during the mining event leads to a failed mining event.

Breakdown happens in the following cases:

a) During the mining event:

  • The higher the depreciation of the equipment, the higher the probability of breakdown.

  • When the counter of performed mining actions reaches the current wear capacity.

b) As a result of a failed level upgrade contract with Engineer.

Malfunction probability.

The probability that the equipment will break down during a mining event. The higher the depreciation of the equipment, the higher the probability of failure.

DME to upgrade

The amount of DME you must extract in a mining process in order to be eligible to perform the level upgrade.

Repair

Repair is an action that partially restores the equipment functionality after the breakdown event. Resets the depreciation counter to 0. Also decreases the current wear capacity counter as a result of the breakdown.

Refurbish

Refurbish is an action that completely restores the equipment functionality after the breakdown event. Sets the current wear capacity and depreciation counters to the state of new equipment.
